Making ebooks sucks! Personally, I hate it!
No matter what I’ve done in the past, they always seem to look crap and if you want to make it look amazing you have to find, hire and hope that the $100’s you spend actually give you something that looks half decent.
And that’s per ebook!
Which is where Designrr comes in… it helps you to design beautiful ebooks yourself!
What Is Designrr?
So let’s dive straight in, you may already know this stuff so again I’m going to keep it short and sweet. If you haven’t seen the sales page yet then here is the link – click here to see the sales page -.
[thrive_text_block color=”note” headline=””] The sales page is HUGE and a this has tonnes of features that you will probably never use, need to use or want. But they are there just in case :/
In essence, it’s a drag and drop (that parts important) ebook designer that keeps things simple!
You choose a style (a bit like with CSS if you’re techy), choose the base designs for each page and then come in and add your content (either paste it in or write it within the editor yourself).
It has pre-made templates to get you going quicker too (I suck at trying to think of colour choices, designs etc, so this makes it a lot easier).
Designrr Full Behind The Scenes Video:
I know this one is a longer review, but I wanted to make sure I went over all of the design features, play it at 1.20x the speed and it will soon fly by 🙂

How Does Designrr Compare To Sqribble?
If you haven’t even heard of Sqrribble yet, then ignore this whole part!
I’m one of those kinds of people who will happily purchase, test and evaluate a few different products that essentially are built to do the same thing, before eventually deciding which one to keep.
Which means you don’t have to 😉

Sqribble massively fails on it’s easy of use and usability, ok it has more base templates as standard BUT because of their fixed designs, you will have to tailor and edit your content to fit in the specific box spaces to use the better designs 🙁
Designrr is VERY easy to use, it’s templates aren’t as fancy but you can upgrade to get more or use the editor to build out your own (or create an image, add it as a background and drag and drop the text into the spaces if you wanted).
Just remember to enable autosave in Designrr so you don’t loose any changes you make & select the stylesheet/base styles to begin with so they stay consistent from the start (massive time saver!)
What’s Missing From Designrr?
Personally, I don’t like the ebook cover creator (but I’m also not a graphics designer) and the sqribble one is even worse.
It is still fully editable and drag and drop, but I wish there was more base templates or an image collection to help things.
What I will do instead is simply hire a designer to make me an image file cover, I can then simply upload that onto the first page and save the PDF.
Same with making a 3d cover, designrr does have that option too… (depending on what package/upgrades you get) but you could also simply pay someone on fiverr $5 a time to do that for you, which makes sense if you aren’t pumping out one a week.
