Now unfortunately I’m actually (or should i say use to be until now) a crap seller and have been a “victim” of sounding like a dumb idiot online for a very long time.
That was until i remembered something which i use to use (well it was automatic) and then completely forgot about when i updated firefox and the Firefox spell checker just didn’t work anymore.
So while it’s fresh in my mind i did some research, re-enabled it and then came here to tell you how to do it too!
How To Enable The Firefox Spell Checker…
Let’s take a look….
Type about:configin address bar and press enter.
Now in the filter field, type the following value- layout.spellcheckDefault
The default value of this parameter is 1. Double click on this parameter and change the value to 2.
Close config file and now open any page which has a text box and check for wrong spelling (no restart required).
Note: In case the spell check is still not enabled, right click on the text box and enable spell check.

There you have it, how to turn yourself from a dumb idiot who can’t spell at all into an educated Harvard PHD degree in spelling in 5 minutes ha ha!
No but on a more serious note people do form a picture of the person you are by the words you write and spelling things correctly just makes sure that that image of who you are is higher or un-tainted by your spelling.
Sounds stupid i know but it’s true and I’m sure you remember a few times you have seen people who’s spelling is so atrocious that you just think to yourself “what an idiot”!
